Programs/Curriculum:

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. -Nelson Mandela

We incorporate developmentally appropriate practices into our daily curriculum that challenge each child individually using a milestone-based approach. Our program is designed to encourage young children to develop and enhance their natural learning ability through the power of “play”. We promote a safe and enjoyable learning space through structured and routine activities in a group setting, while also encouraging independent learning opportunities. Each part of our day from drop-off to pick-up is considered part of our daily curriculum by incorporating activities which can take place both in and out of the classroom setting to help children thrive in all areas of childhood development.

As part of the USDA’s health and nutritional food program, Smart Steps Daycare provides healthy meals and snacks throughout the day.

Infant/Toddlers:

Our infant and toddler program is tailored to fit the individual needs of our youngest learners from 6 weeks to 15 months of age. We strive to ensure that infants/toddlers’ first interactions with a childcare professional is a positive experience that sets the foundation for a healthy love of learning. Our experienced and trained staff provide exceptional care that young children will carry with them for a lifetime.
